Samsung i300 is a Windows –based entertainment Mobile Phone from Samsung Inc. The mobile phone operates on all GSM networks (Tri Band - 900/1800/1900 MHz) and weighs 121 grams approximately. The cell phone is 113 mm in length, 48mm in breadth and has a thickness of 20 mm. The mobile has a quite large 262,144 colors TFT screen. Samsung i300 also has a 1.3 Mega pixel Camera with LED Flash and Digital Zoom.

Besides there are several inbuilt Photo Effects as well as different Photo quality settings. The camera supports Still photos as well as Video Recording ((MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV).There is an inbuilt Video Player as well as Audio Player which supports MP3, AAC, AAC+,WMA, ASF, WAV, WMV formats .It also has Dual Loudspeaker .The Personal Information Management System of the phone has Calendar, To-Do list, Scheduler, Alarm, Clock, World Time, Stopwatch, Converter, Timer. The call features of the cell phone includes features like Voice Clarity ,Call Log for viewing missed calls /received calls, dialed calls etc, Voice command, Voice dialing, Voice recognition, Dedicated key dialing. The phone supports SMS,MMS, Email (POP3 / SMTP / IMAP4),and has WAP 2.0 / Pocket IE (HTML), supports Java MIDP 2.0.

Coming to the more advanced features of the cell phone it has to be mentioned that the operating platform of the cell phone is Windows Mobile 2003 SE.

Samsung i300 has an inbuilt hard disk drive of 3 GB which means that you have enough space that will allow you to store a great number of songs, videos, documents and various files in your mobile which is simply a great feature about the mobile. It runs on Intel XScale PXA272 416MHz Processor. The cell phone has separate 64 Mb shared User Memory. There is also provisions for expansion of memory. You can store up to 200 SMS and 1,000 Phone book entries. The Business and office Feature mode has a Document viewer for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF etc files.

The cell phone has a File manager option too for easy access and operations to files. What is interesting about the package is that it comes with two batteries from the company- 1.Standard battery which is a Li-ion 1,000 mAh battery that has a talk time of up to 4 hours (depends on network specifications) and stand-by time of up to 130 hours 2.Another one is the Extended Life Battery which is Li-ion 1,700 mAh battery that has a talk time of up to 7 hours (varies on network specifications) and a stand-by time of up to 200 hours.

Now coming to the connectivity section it has to be mentioned that the cell phone has Bluetooth Connectivity, USB port for connection to PC, ActiveSync, SyncML. The mobile can be used as a modem for high-speed internet surfing on your PC (operator network dependent feature).The sealed box package from the company comes with a High Quality Stereo headsets , USB connector to PC, PC connectivity software, Two batteries, apart from the basic gadgets like charger ,manuals etc.In short this is an all-in all package for anyone who likes to have a cell phone that is ready to handle all kind of modern day demands right from storage to entertainment to high level functionality.
